I am a reporter in the Dallas-Fort Worth area who is passionate about storytelling that helps the audience know their community.

I am currently the higher education reporter at the Fort Worth Report, a nonprofit, nonpartisan digital news outlet covering Tarrant County. I write a mix of quick turns, short features and longer projects. My work touches on a variety of topics, including student life, state and national politics, health and medicine, business, local government and art. Before taking on my current role, I was a fellow at the Report focused on health. 

I am a graduate of the University of North Texas, where I earned bachelor's degrees in journalism and international studies and completed a minor in Arabic. I worked for UNT's student newspaper, the North Texas Daily, for nine semesters, including a term as editor-in-chief in fall 2024.
